Ontario Winter Games - U20 Mixed Doubles Qualifier A - Brockville Country Club



U20 Mixed Doubles Qualifiers January 9 - 11, 2026 (Friday start dependent upon number of teams entered) – Five open qualifiers (2 north, 3 south). One winner from each qualifier location guaranteed will advance to the Ontario Winter Games in Orillia - February 19 - 22, 2026. The qualifier site with the most entries will receive a second entry.

Age Eligibility: U20 Mixed Doubles – Under 20 as of June 30, 2025.

Coach Certification Standards: All coaches will be required to complete Mandatory Training and have a valid Criminal Record Check on file with the Ontario Curling Council valid for the entire duration of the competition (qualifiers + provincials).

Only coaches with the standards outlined below will be granted on-ice access (practice/breaks/timeouts) during competitions.

U20 Mixed Doubles: Certified Competition Coach

Coaches are not required at OWG Qualifiers if both athletes are over 18.
- If one athlete is under 18, a chaperone (21+ years old) or coach must accompany the team.
- The chaperone will NOT have on-ice privileges.

Team Composition: Only athletes who are members of a Curling Ontario or NOCA Affiliated curling club are eligible to enter the competition. Team members do not have to be members of the same curling club. Teams are welcome to play in any of the five open qualifiers. Age and gender rules for the disciplines apply as per discipline rules.

All teams must declare their players (regardless of discipline) who will play in the Qualifier and the same players will advance to the OWGs should they be successful.

Due to capacity limits at the Ontario Winter Games (athlete quota) – an additional players will not be permitted in the OWGs. For more information on athlete substitution for extenuating circumstances - please see the competition guide or contact erin@ontcurl.com.
