U15 Triples Cup - Alliston Curling Club
Triples is an exciting format used to teach curlers to become more well-rounded. Triples games consist of 3 sets of 2 ends each. Each set is effectively a mini-game, with the team with highest cumulative score after 2 ends winning that set. Players rotate positions every set, giving all players on the team a chance to throw last rock, call strategy, judge/sweep on their own. Team coaches will be permitted on the ice throughout the whole game to counsel and teach their teams strategy, tactics, ice reading, etc… Each team will play two six-end triples games as part of the competition.
For the 2024-2025 season the age restriction is players aged fourteen or younger as of June 30, 2024 (born on or after July 1, 2009)
Each event includes:
• Two “coachable” Triples game
• Singles skills competition (winners receive trophies)
• Lunch for three players and coach
• Top three teams awarded medals
Entry Fee: $225.00 + HST (If a team is bringing a fourth player add $25+HST)
Lunch for three players and coach
Four person teams are permitted (rotation permitted, or one person to sit out per game/competition) - please add the extra $25 for meals.
