Competition Coach ONE-DAY, IN PERSON Workshop - Guelph Curling - Sunday April 19, 2026
Competition Coach – Hybrid Format (online modules + in-person training)
The Competition Coach course is designed for coaches working with teams who practice and compete together. These athletes typically fall within the Train to Train and Train to Compete stages of the Long-Term Curler Development Model.
Online theoretical training + one-day, in-person workshop
Online theoretical training must be completed in advance of this in-person workshop. Register with Curling Canada Learn.Curling.ca
After completing the online portion, coaches attend a one-day, in-person workshop delivered by the Ontario Curling Council.
This is the registration for the one-day, in-person workshop ONLY. Participant must also register for the online training through Curling Canada. (separate fee applies for online portion of the course).
Participants will be asked during the registration if they have registered for the online portion of the course. Participants who have not yet registered the online course are requested to contact the OCC to confirm when they have registered education@ontcurl.com
Information about the Online Course: *All participants must complete a prerequisite online course, which will take approximately 10-15 hours, prior to attending the in-person workshop. This ensures that everyone arrives prepared and ready to engage deeply with the material. Participants must enrol in the Curling Canada online course as well as this in-person course. **Ontario Curling Council programs are ONLY available to registrants of our member associations Curling Ontario and NOCA and to registered members of out of province associations. If you are not a member of a Curling Ontario, NOCA or sanctioned out of province association then this program is not available to you.
**PLEASE NOTE: In order to register, participants require an NCCP number. If you do not already have one, you will have to register with the Coaches Association of Canada. Instructions on how to get your NCCP number are on the Curling in Ontario website HERE.
"In Training" status will be awarded when a coach has completed the Curling Competition Coach Workshop.
"Trained" status will be awarded when a coach has completed the Curling Competition Coach workshop and the Make Ethical Decisions multi-sport workshop
In order to register for this workshop, individuals must complete a "Curler Profile".
