NEW - Pilot Program - MA Game Umpire one-day in-person training. Held in conjunction with the OWG - Thursday February 19, 2026

This is the NEW, one-day in-person training course for the Curling Canada Member Association Game Umpire Course. Participation is by invitation only for the pilot event.

EVENT DETAILS

• Register here for the one-day course – February 19, 2026
• This course will be run in conjunction with the Ontario Winter Games in Orillia.
• Course runs 10:00am - 5:00pm at Barnfield Point Recreation Centre – Orillia
• GU course participants are invited to stay for all or part of the Winter Games as “trainee” officials to gain experience towards your Game Umpire Evaluation. (this is done in a volunteer capacity).
• Course fee for this pilot course is 50.00 (+HST) per person.

1. Verified Timeclock Operator – Must be the tracked version HERE

3. Practical Training Course (one-day) + In-Person Review (one-day in-person training) – This course! + Act as a GU x minimum of six games ideally over two events + Act as a Timeclock Supervisor x minimum 2 Games

4. GU Evaluation = Game Umpire Evaluation
